Terms and conditions

Effective November 5, 2026.

These terms explain how bookings, payments, cancellations and trip rules work at DelRío Adventure. By creating an account, booking or paying for an experience, you accept them. If anything is unclear, write to us before booking.

1. Who we are

DelRío Adventure is a sport fishing and ecotourism operator in Inírida, Guainía, Colombia, run by David DelRío, National Tourism Registry (RNT) 187281. Contact: reservas@delrioadventure.com · +57 305 785 5660.

2. Using the site and your account

  • The information you register must be accurate and up to date.
  • You are responsible for your password and for what is done from your account.
  • We may suspend accounts used improperly or to harm others.

3. Bookings

  • A booking is confirmed once you pay the deposit and we send you the confirmation by email or in your account. Until then, the spot is a request.
  • Unless the confirmation says otherwise, the deposit is 50% of the price and the balance is due no later than 30 days before departure. Bookings made less than 30 days ahead are paid in full.
  • Each experience states what is and is not included (transport, lodging, meals, guide, gear, permits). Anything not listed as included is paid by the traveler.
  • Prices may change between seasons, but the price of a confirmed booking is honored.

4. Cancellations and changes

If you cancel:

  • More than 60 days before: we refund what you paid, minus costs that cannot be recovered (for example, flights, permits or bookings made in your name).
  • Between 60 and 30 days before: you can move the date at no cost within the same or the next season, or receive 50% of the deposit.
  • Less than 30 days before, or no-show: no refund, but you can transfer your spot to someone else by letting us know before departure.
  • If you leave a trip once it has started, unused days are not refunded.

If we cancel or change the plan: the river, the weather and safety come first. If water levels, weather, public order, an emergency or any force majeure require us to cancel, shorten or change the plan, we will offer you a new date or a refund of what you paid for services not provided. We may adjust routes and fishing spots during the trip for your safety or a better experience.

Where applicable, you keep your right of withdrawal and the other rights under Colombia’s Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011).

5. Travel requirements

  • A valid ID; foreign travelers need a valid passport and must meet the immigration requirements for their country.
  • Yellow fever vaccine: recommended for Guainía, at least 10 days before travel. Ask your doctor about other vaccines and medication.
  • Being in suitable health to travel by boat, walk on natural terrain and be exposed to sun, heat, rain and insects. If you have a medical condition, tell us before booking.
  • We recommend travel insurance with medical assistance and evacuation.
  • Before departure we will ask you to sign a health and risk acknowledgment form.

6. Safety and risks

  • Trips take place in remote natural areas with limited signal, power and medical care. Fishing and boating carry inherent risks that you accept by taking part.
  • Life jackets are mandatory on the boats.
  • Always follow your guide’s instructions. The guide may stop anyone who endangers their own safety or the group’s, for example under the influence of alcohol or other substances, with no refund.
  • DelRío Adventure is liable for the services it provides under Colombian law, but not for harm caused by force majeure, third parties or not following safety instructions.
  • Look after your belongings: we recommend dry bags for phones, cameras and documents.

7. Responsible fishing

  • We practice catch and release: sport fish are photographed and returned to the water with as little handling as possible.
  • We follow the rules of AUNAP and the environmental authorities. When an experience requires it, we tell you about or arrange the sport fishing permit.
  • Taking wildlife, plants or natural items, or leaving trash in the river or the forest, is forbidden.
  • We visit Indigenous community lands: follow their rules and ask before photographing people.

8. Minors

Travelers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an authorized adult, who is responsible for them.

In compliance with Colombian Laws 679 of 2001 and 1336 of 2009, DelRío Adventure rejects the sexual exploitation, pornography and sex tourism involving children and teenagers, and reports any case it learns of to the authorities.

9. Photos and videos

During the trips we take photos and videos for your memories and to show our work. We only publish images in which you can be recognized with your permission. Photos you take are yours; if you share them with us, we may publish them crediting your name unless you tell us otherwise.

10. Lodge shop

Shop products are ordered on the site and delivered at the lodge during your stay. Payment is agreed when the order is confirmed. If a product is not available, we let you know and you are not charged.

11. Intellectual property

The DelRío Adventure brand, logo, texts, design and photos on this site belong to DelRío Adventure or their authors, listed in Image credits. They may not be used without permission.

14. Governing law
